  Inventory
Here is a list of the things that hold enough A.) value, B.) sentimentality, or C.) centrality to my existence that I would consider bringing them with us. Bear in mind that one of the objects of this exercise in moving to Hawaii is packing light. Lightness means flexibility, and flexibility is probably a good thing if it translates into lower rent or cheaper living costs in any way.

  Thesis
Recently I've been beginning to suspect I'm feeling a little unsettled. Symptoms that have suggested this to me are:
- Not being able to sleep because I didn't read anything interesting on ESPN.com
- Feeling generally busy and not able to do anything, despite the fact that I don't really know what I'm doing tomorrow or the next day.

There are a number of reasons that I think that this might be happening, but they are all less important than the antidote which, hopefully, is this blog. I find that I'm always more satisfied when I am being productive in an area that is intimately important to me. Our impending move to Hawaii is the one thing I feel has the right blend of potential in this regard.

Currently our plan is underdeveloped (i.e. non-existent). My other big projects are becoming too big to really span the space of a few minutes of blogging (i.e. I need to get moving to Hawaii so I can work on them). The thought of moving to Hawaii, with all the cold raininess going around is really an exciting prospect.

And even though she doesn't know it (since she's right next to me while I scheme brilliantly) Martha will be a contributor to this as well. She's an excellent researcher on matters of travel, housing, and general resourcefulness on relocation. And of course, it wouldn't really be as much fun if she wasn't onboard :)

So all things related to moving to Hawaii will be catalogued here. Booyah. Or whatever Booyah is in pidgin.
